Manage Main and Trade Test Storerooms and all functions of stock and equipment including movement and storage of stock, for a technical Training company

1. Coordinate and conduct regular stock takes

2. Work with Trainers and Operations Manager and his adjuncts to identify, prepare and pack out required stock for courses both at the training centre and for mobile sites

3. Maintain checklists for stock issued out and ensure stock is returned in full with the driver or significant person to sign in and out for the stock

4. Ensure that stock levels do not run out, especially for goods used regularly

5. Responsible for receiving, storing, assembling, packing and/or unpacking of stock

6. Assisting with the loading and/or unloading of stock to be sent and returned to the training centre stores

7. Supply to the procurement agent all significant orders once they have been checked and verified against available stock in the store for processing.

8. Follow- up with the procurement agent if the stock has not arrived and report such to the operations manager for assistance and actioning if necessary.

9. Be responsible for accepting all deliveries of stock. This includes ensuring that they are not damaged and that everything ordered is present and accounted for, and signing for such deliveries

10. Ensure the storeroom & equipment is cleaned to standard on a daily/regular basis

11. Conduct regular checks on tools and equipment and maintain a tools register to report stock that needs to be repaired or written off

12. Demonstrate and promote a proactive commitment to health & safety, well-being and the environment whilst complying with all laws and company policies

13. Suggest and implement new systems to improve the current system and proactively strive to bettering and streamlining the procurement and storeroom status quo

14. Ensure that all windows in the training centre are closed and that the store is locked prior to going home.

15. Be accountable for all loss of tools and equipment and, if an acceptable explanation is not given for the loss, the Employee agrees he will be liable for the replacement cost. The Company reserves the right to deduct any money incurred for the replacement and/or any losses that may occur during the period of employment and the Employee agrees to same.

16. Ensure that the Ladders are maintained properly and checked and that a ladder register be maintained. Monthly and the significant documentation is completed correctly and submitted to the operations manager for approval and signing off.

17. Be responsible for procurement of materials and tools for training

18. Be actively involved in Accreditation audits/monitoring visits and ensure the store is neat and clean and has the significant tools and equipment on display as required

19. Not remove any tools or equipment from our premises without express written notification and authorization

20. Any reasonable instruction from time to time

Requirements: 

Technical expertise of mechanical, construction and electrical trades and the tools/equipment used

Previous practice working in or managing a store

Work under pressure and to deadlines

Team player, proactive and reliable
